Request for Travel Expenses Incident to Assignment Under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act of 1970

An advance decision was requested regarding a claim for travel expenses of a federal employee on detail to a state government under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act of 1970. The employee may be reimbursed for travel expenses while away from his place of assignment when the head of the agency considers the travel in the interest of the United States.
