Reimbursement of Imprest Fund Cashier for Employees' Food Expenses

The Army Corps of Engineers requested a decision on whether an imprest fund cashier could be reimbursed for food expenses for employees who worked at the scene of a train derailment. GAO held that the cashier could be reimbursed, since the employees were working in an extreme emergency situation that threatened human life and were not allowed to leave during the emergency to obtain meals.
