Procurement of Ocean Freight Transportation Services

GAO developed procedures for the procurement of ocean freight transportation services by civil agencies. These procedures require the: (1) use government bills of lading for procuring transportation services for the account of the United States government; and (2) proper accomplishment of these bills of lading as a condition payment.
