Claim for Meeting Registration Fee

GAO commented on whether the Federal Works Agency could properly reimburse its representative for the amount of a registration fee, which included meals, for the Joint Airport Users' Conference sponsored by the National Aeronautics Association. GAO determined that the registration fee could be reimbursed minus a deduction of one-fifth of the authorized per diem rate for each meal or lodging furnished without charge by a government agency as stated in the, Standardized Government Travel Regulations.
