Shipment of Privately Owned Vehicle of Transferred Federal Employee

A transferred Department of the Interior employee requested reimbursement for shipping his automobile to the Virgin Islands. The shipment of a privately owned vehicle by a transferred employee is not an allowable expense unless authorized by the head of the agency.
