Highlights

A decision was requested regarding the entitlement of a military member assigned to an international organization to family separation allowance. In order to be entitled to the allowance, the member may not receive Government quarters or housing facilities, including facilities furnished by foreign governments. Since the mission subsistence allowance furnished by the international organization covered the cost of lodging, it precluded payment of the family separation allowance.
