Highlights

A Navy member appealed his denied request for a waiver of overpayment of military leave, contending that: (1) the Navy erroneously advised him that he had sufficient military leave; and (2) he would have timely used annual leave or leave without pay if he knew he had insufficient military leave. GAO held that the claimant was at least partially at fault, since he should have been aware of the amount of military leave available to him. Accordingly, the waiver was denied.
