Highlights

An advance decision was requested as to whether plumbing expenses, which were incurred by a Defense Contract Audit Agency employee during relocation, could be reimbursed. The expenses were incurred during the purchase of a residence at the employee's new duty station. Under Federal Travel Regulations, repairs to a residence are not reimbursable. Furthermore, such costs are not reimbursable as miscellaneous expenses. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
