Request for Reconsideration

A firm requested reconsideration of a decision in which GAO denied in part and dismissed in part its protest against the proposed award of a contract by the General Services Administration. The protester acknowledged receipt of the GAO decision via a telephone conversation and timely filed its request for reconsideration. However, the protester did not submit any detailed documentation to support its request. GAO held that a request for reconsideration will not be considered where the protester timely files its request but fails to provide a detailed statement within 10 working days after the basis for the reconsideration was known or should have been known. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
