A decision was requested concerning the liability of an employee for excess transportation costs incurred in a transfer of duty station. Employee liability for excess costs of shipping household goods cannot be waived, nor can costs be waived for after-acquired property. Even though the employee was given information that was erroneous, the Government is not liable for the erroneous actions of its officers.
