Entitlement of Dependent Children to Survivor Benefit Plan Annuity

A decision was requested concerning the amount of an annuity payable under the Survivor Benefit Plan to dependent children when the widow or widower becomes ineligible for the annuity. The annuity for the dependent children is separate from that payable to the widow or widower, and reduction of the annuity to the surviving spouse does not affect the annuity payable to the children.
