The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality concurred with this recommendation. According to an AHRQ update as of March 2022, the Data Management Plan (DMP) Policy that AHRQ released on May 26, 2020 was the first step toward making the AHRQ funded research data available for public access. AHRQ stated that all Notices of Funding Opportunity Announcements and Requests for Proposals had been updated to include the DMP requirements, and that the DMP has become part of the terms and conditions of award as appropriate for grants and contracts.
