DOD Procurement: Geographic Dispersion of C-17 and C-5B Subcontractors

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO provided information regarding Air Force prime contracts and first-tier subcontracts for the C-17 and C-5B aircraft, focusing on the: (1) contracts' and subcontracts' dollar value; (2) geographical distribution of contracts and subcontracts; and (3) use of competitive procedures to select contractors and subcontractors.
