Highlights

A firm protested the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) rejection of its late bid, contending that FAA should have accepted its late bid, since it: (1) received the missing solicitation page only 2 days prior to bid opening; and (2) encountered unforeseen airline mechanical problems. GAO held that the protester: (1) bore the risk of travel delays; and (2) should have protested prior to bid opening the solicitation's closing date if it believed it did not have sufficient time to prepare its bid after receiving the missing solicitation page. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
