Pursuant to legislative requirements, GAO certified the estimated revenues of the Panama Canal Commission for fiscal year 1985.
Tolls charged to vessels which transit the Canal will generate $315 million of the Commission's estimated revenues. Non-toll revenues of $128.9 million are expected to be generated by the provision of navigation, support, and other services. GAO found that the underlying assumptions used provided a reasonable basis for making the revenue estimates.
