A review was performed to settle the accounts of accountable officers of the Library of Congress for fiscal years 1975 and 1976, including the transition quarter.
The review included vouchers and supporting documents for those fiscal years and pay and leave records for calendar year 1976. Matters disclosed were discussed with the appropriate Library officials who stated that they would take corrective action. The disposal of records through September 30, 1976, was authorized. In accordance with title 8 of the GAO Policy and Procedures Manual for Guidance of Federal Agencies, the records should be transferred to the Washington National Records Center, using Standard Form 135 and Record Group 217.
