A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protest of a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) contract award. GAO had held that the: (1) protest concerned a matter of bidder responsibility that it would not review; and (2) protester untimely filed its protest more than 10 days after it knew the basis of protest. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that it was not informed of the protest filing requirements. GAO held that VA was not required to inform the protester of the protest filing requirements, since the filing requirements are published in the Federal Register. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
