A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protest of a Department of Transportation contract award. GAO had held that the protester untimely filed its comments on the agency report more than 10 days after the report's due date. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that it filed its comments within 10 days of its actual receipt of the report. GAO held that the protester failed to notify it that it had received the report late and needed an extension to file its comments. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
