Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protests of a Marine Corps contract award for engineering and technical support services. GAO had held that the protester: (1) failed to diligently pursue relevant information to form its basis of protest; and (2) untimely filed its protests more than 10 days after it should have known its basis of protest. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that: (1) the original decision was inconsistent with another GAO decision; and (2) it was an interested party eligible to participate in another firm's protest regardless of whether or not it timely filed its protests. GAO held that the protester: (1) failed to provide any evidence that would warrant modification of the original decision; and (2) was not an interested party eligible to participate in another firm's protest under the bid protest regulations. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
