Lt. Col. James R. Wingertzahn, Chief of the Accounting and Finance Branch, Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, requested an advance decision as to whether a member may be reimbursed for the rental of a private aircraft incident to temporary duty travel. Since the use of a private conveyance was authorized for travel, the member was not entitled to reimbursement for actual expenses but rather only to mileage allowance for the travel.
