A retired military member requested reconsideration of a settlement which disallowed his claim for reimbursement for air travel performed incident to travel to his home of selection following retirement from the military. Since the record showed that the member's new employer paid his travel expenses, the member was not entitled to reimbursement of the air travel expenses because that travel was not performed at personal expense as required by the applicable regulations. The retired member was entitled to a mileage allowance for himself and his wife from his duty station to the appropriate aerial port of embarkation but was limited to payment of mileage to the actual port of embarkation since that was the only travel performed at personal expense.
