A retired Air Force officer requested reconsideration of the denial of his claim for a travel allowance from his last station to his retirement home in California. He did not qualify for a travel allowance because he did not establish a home in California within the required 1-year period. In addition, the record did not establish that the officer's travel to California was for the purpose of establishing a retirement home there. Disallowance of the claim was sustained.
