YANCY AND HUMKEY: REFERENCE IS MADE TO YOUR LETTER OF AUGUST 16. WE ARE INFORMED BY THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS THAT WORK UNDER THE CONTRACT IS NEARLY COMPLETE AND THAT IT WILL NOT BE TERMINATED FOR DEFAULT. UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES THERE WILL BE NO EXCESS COMPLETION COSTS AND NO CLAIM BY THE GOVERNMENT AGAINST THE CARIBBEAN CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION WHICH MIGHT BE OFFSET AGAINST MONEYS DUE THE CORPORATION UNDER OTHER GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS.

REFERENCE IS MADE TO YOUR LETTER OF AUGUST 16, 1957, ON BEHALF OF FRED MACOMBER, INDEMNITOR OF GLENS FALLS INDEMNITY COMPANY, SURETY FOR THE CARIBBEAN CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION UNDER CONTRACT NO. DA-08-123 ENG-2268.

WE ARE INFORMED BY THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS THAT WORK UNDER THE CONTRACT IS NEARLY COMPLETE AND THAT IT WILL NOT BE TERMINATED FOR DEFAULT.
