REFERENCE IS MADE TO YOUR LETTER OF APRIL 14, 1960, OFFERING TO SETTLE THE GOVERNMENT'S CLAIM AGAINST THE HOWARD MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,030.32 BY PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF $250, AND REQUESTING, IF THE OFFER IS DECLINED, THAT THE MATTER BE RETURNED TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER FOR APPROPRIATE ACTION UNDER THE "DISPUTES" ARTICLE.
