[Requests for Reconsideration of Protests of Air Force Contract Awards for Aircraft Weighing Systems]
B-265638.2,B-265639.2: Feb 22, 1996
- Full Report:
A firm requested reconsideration of its protests of Air Force contract awards for aircraft weighing systems. GAO had held that the: (1) Air Force's acceptance of a product other than what the awardee offered was a matter of contract administration which it would not review; and (2) protester untimely filed its protest more than two years after it should have known the basis of protest. In its requests for reconsideration, the protester contended that its protest should have been considered, since it did not know that the awardee's product was different from what it offered. GAO held that the protester's protest was untimely, since it failed to sufficiently pursue protest. Accordingly, the requests for reconsideration were denied.
