A firm protested the Air Force's rejection of its bid for mess attendant services, contending that the Air Force gave it inaccurate information which caused the late delivery of its bid. GAO held that the: (1) Air Force's inaccurate information that the protester's bid had been received prior to bid opening was not the primary cause of the late submittal; (2) Air Force was not required to accept the protester's late bid; and (3) protester was obligated to submit a timely bid regardless of the Air Force's erroneous information. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
