A firm protested a Coast Guard solicitation for boat repairs, contending that the Coast Guard unreasonably included a geographic restriction in the solicitation. GAO held that the Coast Guard reasonably included the restriction, since: (1) it required frequent inspections at the contractor's facility; and (2) longer distances imposed an untenable burden on the Coast Guard in delivering the boats to the facility. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
