A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employee claimed reimbursement for the full amount of real estate expenses he incurred in connection with his transfer. GAO held that the: (1) employee was entitled to full reimbursement; and (2) employee's title was not diminished, since his former wife was a joint title holder and a member of his immediate family at the time he was first notified of his transfer. Accordingly, the claim was allowed.
