[Protest of DGSC Contract Award for Bread Slicing Machines]
B-245762: Jan 7, 1992
- Full Report:
A firm protested a Defense General Supply Center (DGSC) contract award for bread slicing machines, contending that the awardee failed to comply with the solicitation's Buy American Act requirement. GAO held that: (1) more than 50 percent of the awardee's product was composed of domestic components; and (2) before DGSC would accept any of the awardee's products, it would audit them for Buy American Act compliance. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
