A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protest against a National Guard solicitation for airbase operations and maintenance. GAO had held that the protester failed to file timely comments within 10 days after the Guard issued its report on the protest. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that it believed its protest submission was its final presentation and that no further action was required on its part. GAO held that the: (1) protester failed to timely express continued interest in the protest; and (2) protester's lack of awareness of comment filing requirements did not excuse its failure to comment. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
