[Protest of Air Force Rejection of Bid for Building Demolition]
B-241715: Jan 30, 1991
- Full Report:
A firm protested the Air Force's rejection of its bid for building demolition, contending that: (1) it was the low, responsible bidder; and (2) the Air Force should allow it to correct its minimum bid acceptance period, which was the result of an inadvertent clerical error. GAO held that the Air Force: (1) properly rejected the protester's bid as nonresponsive, since its bid acceptance period did not meet the requirements; and (2) could not allow the protester to correct its bid after bid opening, since the minimum bid acceptance period was a material requirement. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
