[Protest of Air Force Contract Award for Optical Inspection System]
B-240768: Aug 31, 1990
- Full Report:
A firm protested an Air Force contract award for an optical inspection station, contending that: (1) the Air Force should have increased the awardee's bid price, since its product was manufactured in a foreign country; and (2) the awardee had an unfair competitive advantage, since its proposal was not subject to certain solicitation restrictions due to its foreign status. GAO held that the protester did not state a valid basis of protest. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
