Highlights

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) requested a decision concerning a transferred employee's claim for an extension of his subsistence expenses. GAO held that the FBI properly denied the extension, since the employee knew when he bought his new residence that he would not be able to move into it until after his subsistence allowance expired. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
