Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of its denied protest against the Army's refusal to allow it to correct an error in its bid for the construction of a vehicle wash facility. GAO had held that the Army properly denied the protester's request to correct the mistake, since: (1) it would have brought the protester's bid price to within less than 1 percent of the next low bid; and (2) there was no clear and convincing evidence of the protester's intended bid. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that the 1-percent difference between its corrected bid and the next low bid should not have precluded correction. GAO held that the protester merely reiterated its original protest and failed to show that the original decision contained any errors of fact or law that would warrant reversal or modification. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
