[Protest Against Air Force Contract Award for Information System]
B-225587.2: Sep 29, 1987
- Full Report:
A firm protested an Air Force contract award for the operation of a base information transfer system and postal service, contending that the: (1) Air Force improperly awarded the contract despite the pendency of its appeal of a Small Business Administration (SBA) decision that it was not a small business; and (2) award resulted in a higher cost. GAO held that the Air Force properly awarded the contract, since: (1) 10 working days had expired since SBA received the appeal; and (2) it would not be in the public interest to further delay award. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
