A firm protested a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contract award to another firm for nuts, contending that DLA improperly awarded the contract because it was the low bidder. DLA contended that the protester's bid expired because the protester failed to send the requested verification. GAO held that the protest was without merit since: (1) DLA properly rejected the protester's bid in the absence of a bid verification; and (2) the protester allowed its bid to expire. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
