[Request for Reconsideration of Dismissed Protest Under Marine Corps IFB]
B-224269.2: Oct 28, 1986
- Full Report:
A firm requested reconsideration of the dismissal of its protest against a Marine Corps solicitation for mobile electric power distribution systems. The protester had alleged that the solicitation was defective since it did not contain Buy American Act certification requirements, and GAO dismissed the protest as untimely filed after bid opening. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that GAO should consider the protest pursuant to the significant issue exception to its timeliness rules. GAO found that the issue was not of sufficient impact to warrant review under the significant issue exception. Accordingly, the dismissal was affirmed.
