The Air Force requested reconsideration of a decision which found that it improperly rejected a low bid for custodial services at an Air Force base. The Air Force argued that the low bidder's failure to acknowledge an amendment which substantially corrected the square footage to be serviced in one building materially affected the quantity of services to be provided. However, GAO held that the Air Force's argument was without merit because the low bidder was obligated to provide custodial services for the specified area regardless of the footage. GAO stated that, because the Air Force had not shown any error in fact or law in its request for reconsideration, the prior decision was affirmed.
