A firm requested reconsideration of a decision which dismissed its protest of a food service contract award. The protest was dismissed because the allegations raised related to a dispute between private parties and were not for consideration by GAO. The protester asserted that GAO failed to consider allegations that the awardee had not disclosed certain affiliates, misrepresented its ownership and affiliation to the Government, and included an improper identification number in its bid. Therefore, it believed that its protest should not have been dismissed. GAO found that the protest remained a private dispute and that the error contained in the awardee's proposal could be waived as a minor informality by the contracting officer. Accordingly, the prior decision was affirmed.
