Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of a decision which dismissed in part and denied in part its protest of a proposed Federal Aviation Administration contract award. Bid protest procedures require that a request for reconsideration be filed with GAO within 10 working days after the basis for reconsideration is known and that the request contain factual or legal grounds upon which a reversal or modification of the original decision could be based. GAO noted that, although the protester filed its request within that timeframe, no grounds upon which a reconsideration could be initiated were provided. Since the protester failed to submit a timely detailed statement, the matter was not considered. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was dismissed.
