[Protest of Termination of GSA Contract]
B-208966: Oct 6, 1982
- Full Report:
A firm protested the termination of its General Services Administration (GSA) contract for convenience shortly after GSA exercised an option to extend the contract for 1 year. The firm contended breach of contract alleging that, at the time it exercised the option, the agency had already decided to terminate the contract and issue a new solicitation. GAO held that, under statutory law, this was a matter for settlement pursuant to a contract appeals board procedure applicable to the case. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
