Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of a GAO decision which denied its bid rejection protest. The protester's bid was rejected because it did not submit bid prices for two option items. The protester argued that it was redundant to enter the two prices and that, if the bid was nonresponsive, it was because the invitation for bids (IFB) was ambiguous. GAO concluded that the protester's interpretation of the IFB was erroneous and GAO agreed with the agency that the absence of a bid for the option items rendered the protester's bid nonresponsive. A request for reconsideration must specify any error of law made or information not previously considered in the protest. Since the protester essentially restated arguments made during the prior consideration of its protest, GAO found no basis for considering the matter further. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
