After a firm filed a protest against a contract award with the District of Columbia, the firm protested the award to GAO. If a protest is initially filed with the contracting agency, any subsequent protest to GAO must be filed within 10 working days of the notification of the initial adverse agency action on the protest. The protester filed its protest with GAO more than 26 days after the District of Columbia denied its protest. Therefore, the protest was not for consideration by GAO and was dismissed.
