A firm protested the award of a purchase order for dictation equipment, alleging that the Air Force improperly accepted a reduction in the awardee's price prior to the award and that Buy American Act privileges should not have been granted to the awardee. GAO held that the question of the price reduction did not need to be decided since funds would have been obtained to support the award even if the reduction had been rejected, and that the other matters were those of contract administration which GAO will not review. Therefore, the protest was denied.
