A review of the audit report of the Little League Foundation for the years ended September 30, 1975 and 1976, indicated that the audit and financial reporting standards of Public Law 88-378 were met by the Foundation. The Foundation is not a federally chartered organization; however, its New York State charter restricts its purpose to exclusive assistance of Little League Baseball, Inc., even though there is no legal relationship between the two organizations. The audit report for the Foundation was reviewed because of its relationship to Little League Baseball, Inc., which is a federally chartered organization.
The audit report was prepared by a firm of certified public accountants and included a statement of the scope of audit and the auditor's opinion that the financial statements present fairly the financial position of the Little League Foundation at September 30, 1975 and 1976, and the results of operations and changes in fund balances for the years then ended.
