Reimbursement of Expense of Lodging Where Receipts Are Lost

An advance decision was requested regarding Terry P. Byers' claim for reimbursement of temporary lodging expenses allegedly incurred incident to a permanent change of duty station. In view of the absence of receipts for the lodging expenses incurred for temporary quarters, the employee's affidavit may not be accepted in lieu of such receipts. On the basis of the evidence available, the claim must be denied.
