Kathryn Larin is a Director in GAO’s Education, Workforce, and Income Security team. She oversees GAO’s work on a broad range of issues affecting low-income and vulnerable populations, including economic and nutrition assistance, child welfare, disaster assistance, refugee resettlement, and elder abuse prevention.
Since joining GAO in July 1999, Kathryn has spent most of her career focusing on human services issues. She became a director in her current team in April 2017.
Kathryn earned a Master’s degree in public affairs from The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Swarthmore College.
