John Pendleton is a Director in GAO’s Financial Markets & Community Investment team. He oversees reviews of housing programs as well as the resilience of financial markets and insurance programs. John has recently led reviews of efforts to rebuild military readiness and challenges facing the Navy in the wake of deadly collisions in 2017.
John joined GAO’s Norfolk office in July 1987. John then spent 4 years in GAO’s European Office in Frankfurt, Germany (from 1991 to 1995), and then moved to GAO’s Atlanta office. John was awarded GAO’s Distinguished Service Award in 2012 and 2017, and has received other awards for leadership and mentoring.
John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance from the University of Kentucky.
