Alicia Puente Cackley is a Director in GAO’s Financial Markets and Community Investment team. She oversees Consumer Financial Protection, Insurance, Financial Literacy, Product Safety, Homelessness, and Privacy issues.

Alicia joined GAO in September 1990. She spent 17 years in EWIS and its predecessors, as an economist and AD, before serving as an Acting Director in Healthcare in 2008. She joined FMCI in March, 2009.

Alicia earned a doctorate degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and French from the University of Notre Dame.
