Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery Assistance

Short Description Provides flexible grants to assist states and local governments to recover from Presidentially declared disasters, especially in low-income areas. Recovery assistance may fund a broad range of recovery activities, including homeownership activities such as down-payment assistance, interest-rate subsidies, and loan guarantees for disaster victims, to help communities and neighborhoods that otherwise might not recover due to limited resources. These grants often supplement disaster programs of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Small Business Administration, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
